This is not a 2MT center; it is a 2MT Short center. The length in the socket is 2" not 2 9/16", and the diameter at the small end is 0.6" not 0.572".The consequence is that it will not auto-eject when the tailstock ram is run back if your machine expects a standard 2MT center.Another observation is that this item projects from the socket one-third to one-half inch further than any of my other centers; you may or may not like this.
