This item is pine wood stained redwood. The pieces do not fit. It is adequate but the quality of the product does not match the price of the product. There are other wine racks that are MUCH more cost effective. I would not buy this product again or recommend buying this product at all!easy to assembleYou stated "minor assembly required" and that is not the case. Not being terribly handy with tools this does not meet the requirement of "minor assembly required". The least you could have done was to drill holes for the screws. AYKM?If I wanted to be a cabinet maker, I'd have made the itemThis is very well made and offered a good selection of finishes, so I could find one that matches my decor. Easy to assemble in minutes. Love it!Just what we needed at a good price. Nice and study and just the size we needed. Good quality and easy to assemble.
