I am fully aware of the anger and heated discussions surrounding the presidential election, but if anyone wants to take a break with a little levity, I highly recommend The Day of the Donald. It's a murder mystery, satire, set in the Trump White House. Anti-Trump people will love it, and even Trump supporters with a sense of humor who enjoy satire will enjoy it.Not to spoil the book, but to give an example of its flavor, I'll give two examples: First, when the protagonist dives into the expanded Rose Garden to hide, he discovers the bushes are fake and made in China.Next, the Washington Mall has been converted into a shopping mall where the most prestigious hangout is the Ritz Cracker Barrel. This is the site of a murder of a British spy who is interning at the White House and is poisoned by her sweetened ice tea and dies in spite of being given mouth to mouth by George Clooney.
