We really like this. It's just as pictured and you can set it up so the ladder goes on either end of the bunk (though there are not instructions for this).My only gripe is that a couple of the pieces came a bit banged up. Most notably, the slats for underneath the two beds were incredibly unfinished and splintery - a bit of a safety hazard. Luckily, hubby is very handy and got the bed in working order for us within a few hours, then it took a couple more hours to assemble. The company that sold it to us, Cymax, had excellent customer service and gave us a bit of a refund since we received it in less than perfect shape.A couple more notes: the top is actually Twin XL size, not twin (makes sense since it needs to be the same length as the queen on bottom). And, the bed frames are quite long - leaving inches of room even with a standard Queen and a Twin XL.
