This is a wonderful series created by PBS. each of the 3 parts charts the progress of the Women's Liberation Movement. Filled with clips, photos, interviews, news stories. and videos from each era, you learn a wonderful story of how ordinary women overcame amazing odds. Today, American women have some of the greatest freedoms and opportunities in the world. But it wasn't always so. By focusing in each of the different decades, it's easy to see how far we've come. Using real life examples and stories, the film reveals the turmoil and passion of women as they fought for equality in education, employment, politics, economics, and society. I use this in my Women's History class and my students love it. They are shocked to learn how women had to fight to gain domestic violence laws, play sports, earn equal pay or even access to jobs once held only by men. It truly is an eye opener for anyone born after 1980. It's worth a watch by both men and women.
